Spring Cleaning Time

Springcleaning

It’s officially time for some spring cleaning! Follow these tips and tricks that will help you clean out the rooms in your home and give you the opportunity to start fresh.

Spring Cleaning Plan

  1. Make a system for spring cleaning

Getting organized is as easy as A-B-C … and D. This prioritization system will help you make decisions on what goes and what stays. If you choose to keep an item, make sure it has a proper storage space in your home so it doesn’t get lost and become clutter. Ideally, your home should have mostly “A” and “B” items and very few “C” and “D” items.

  1. Reuse and recycle

If you find that you may not use an item as often as you used to, try brainstorming other ways you can repurpose it. Pinterest always has fun ideas for DIY projects such as using dresser drawers as shelves or an old watering can as a flower vase. 1. Donate to Goodwill

Take a look at your items and make a pile for donations. Donating gently-used items you no longer need allows other families the opportunity to shop at an affordable price. Find your local Goodwill store and donate today!

When you donate to Goodwill, you’re supporting your community in more ways than one. Remember, all donations are tax-deductible — just ask for a receipt when dropping off your donations.
